Practically everyone uses Wi-Fi connections in today’s’ world. While physical networks can be secured within a hardened environment, Wi-Fi systems extend beyond the walls of your home or office. This course will extend attendees knowledge as how one can effectively protect their SOHO (Small Office Home Office) network by adding additional layers of security beyond the use of complex passwords, using settings common to most modern routers. Prevent issues at the source by securing access to your network and filtering content capable of reaching end users!
This practical course will guide the non-technical user in methods of controlling who can access their networks. It will also demonstrate what types of information an unauthorized user may capture when access is gained/granted. Minimize your risk of falling victim or being held libel to crimes such as identify theft, corrupted/hijacked data, stolen passwords, and a variety of other hi-tech fraudulent crimes and exploitations.
**Attendees are encouraged to have access to a laptop or device capable of internet access computer for the practical exercise portion of the course.
